Jamie definitely spoiled me for my birthday this year. On Tuesday, I passed my oral qualifying exam- the hardest part of graduate school- making me officially a PhD candidate. So he threw me a big party at this Mexican place. We filled up the entire back patio with 20-30 people at one point. Everyone enjoyed food and drinks, especially one friend who had to be helped home. The rest of us came back to Jamie's place at the end of the night to have some cookie cake!
Jamie took me out for a lobster dinner on my birthday in Santa Monica. After dinner we walked the beach and went home to watch american idol of course.
