Malibu to give a talk

It's that time of the year again- when my PhD program interviews prospective students, also known as recruitment. We spend the entire weekend with the recruits, having free drinks and free food. Saturday night- they rented out a bar for dinner and drinks and then we all went down to Main St. Santa Monica where our program covered the first 600 dollars in drinks at a different bar.

Sunday morning- we woke up and drove to Malibu. Akanksha and I each gave short 20 minute talks to the recruits, had a nice lunch, and headed back. Jamie sat in the front row for both of our talks!

Monday I helped the recruits get to their interviews through the day, while grabbing free breakfast and lunch. And then we had a nice sit-down dinner at the faculty center Monday night before they all left town. Jamie and I then went out to the movies! We saw the reader- pretty interesting story.
